Wiring 101
In Intarva, wiring is more than just drawing lines. Every connection represents a low-impedance electrical path that determines signal propagation and power delivery.
Connecting Components
To connect two pins, you create a Net. In the Intarva editor, clicking a pin and dragging to another establishes this net. Internally, the engine treats this as a zero-ohm connection unless specified otherwise.
Pull-up & Pull-down Resistors
When a pin is in Input Mode, it is in a high-impedance (floating) state. To ensure a stable logic level when no active signal is present, you must use pull-up or pull-down resistors.
Pull-up (VCC)
Connects the Net to VCC (3.3V/5V) through a resistor (typically 10kΩ). This keeps the signal HIGH by default until a button or sensor pulls it to Ground.
Pull-down (GND)
Connects the Net to Ground. This keeps the signal LOW by default until an active source drives it HIGH.
Signal Integrity
Intarva simulates **Propagated Delays**. While negligible for simple LEDs, this becomes critical for high-speed protocols like I2C or SPI. Ensure your wiring doesn’t create “infinite loops” or recursive dependencies that could stall the solver.
